This is my story except I have a little girl, and instead of 9.5 I did 4 haven’t gotten a divorce yet, but like you I saw the signs before marriage. I battle with how much longer to endure the inevitable because the only thing left to do is grow and mature out of this…..it’s seemingly the only benefit. Thank you for telling your story and you are very strong to endure that long I’m fighting tooth and nail and it hasn’t been 5 yrs yet but who wants to really wallow in pain and misery. I question my own strength because most women stay in these relationships 10, 15, 20 years and it makes me wonder why can’t I endure more? However, it’s not over yet I’m not divorced the humiliation is real. You do feel alone, you are blamed for everything. Like you I work two jobs 7 days a week to keep the household together and like you I was forced to leave multiple times. Now he works, pays all the bills and takes care of another woman I wonder why he couldn’t do this with me and yet I still try to hold on I guess I’m just dumb….. But you encouraged me this story was on time. God Bless You! I hope you find the love you deserve. Please write back if possible lindaa_hill@yahoo.com
Hi Linda, thank you so much for stopping by. I want to encourage you during your time of struggle. While this is a decision that only you can make, I am reminded of this Scripture, Proverbs 10:22 – “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.” So if what you are experiencing doesn’t line up with this Scripture, you must ask yourself the question: Is it from God?
